Water Tank Installation Options. There are many options when it comes to installing a water or fuel tank for your vehicle, ute or 4WD and will depend on your individual requirements. Many people will settle for a tank that's filled using a hose, along with a gravity feed to get the water (or fuel) out. Others prefer the use of a 12v water or fuel pump that can both fill and drain the tank automatically. Mounting the tank, if required, is usually done via straps or brackets. This is very often a custom installation as it varies from one vehicle to the next and what your requirements are.
