Due to the festive season the 4x4 Down Under product warehouses will be closed from 21 December till 6 January.
Christmas Delivery Dates: We will endeavour to have all orders placed on or before the 18th of January dispatched before Christmas Day. Orders placed after the 18th will be prepared for dispatch from the 6th of January.
Due to this busy period of the year you may experience some minor delays in receiving your items.

In some cases where the address is based in the more remote areas of Australia this may take longer. Please note delivery time frames are approximate and are subject to variables outside of our control. Products that are marked Pre-Order are currently not in stock, and will only be shipped once they arrive at our warehouse. Where possible we will always try and provide an accurate timeframe for when these items will arrive and then be dispatched. Unfortunately we are only able to provide estimates as there are many factors outside of our control.
Order ConfirmationAs soon as you place your order you will receive an order confirmation e-mail from us to confirm that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorised your credit card for the purchase.
We then confirm that your items are in stock and available for immediate shipment. If your items are on backorder or unavailable, we will void the pre-authorisation and reach out to you via e-mail.
If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within 5 business days), we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.
DELIVERY TIMESIf your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card, it will ship within one to five business days from the date of your order.
You shall then receive tracking information (if applicable) within 24-48 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out.
If you do not receive tracking information from us within six business days of your order, feel free to follow up with us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In order to get your purchase to you as promptly and safely as possible we utilise a number of trusted and reputable courier services such as Australia Post, Star Track Express, Toll IPEC and TNT Express.
Deliveries are sent during normal business hours, Monday to Friday and can take between 1 to 12 business days to receive, pending on your location, time of year and courier. Purchases made on weekends and public holidays will be processed on the next business day. We send all items via registered courier with tracking.
Should you have a specific delivery deadline please contact us and we will do our best to make arrangements where possible.
Note: 4x4 Down Under cannot be held liable for items not arriving within a certain timeframe.
As soon as the item has been shipped we will provide you with a tracking number. You can then use this number to track your package online. It should also provide a clear estimate of when to expect your item.
FREE SHIPPINGSelect products that offer free shipping includes metro delivery areas only. Additional charges may apply should your address fall outside of these areas. We will contact you immediately with available options should this occur.
SHIPPING COSTSWe strive to never make mistakes but unfortunately we're only human and sometimes errors can happen. Occasionally, and depending on your order, the shipping fee you're charged my need to be adjusted. This is very unlikely but should it happen we'll let you know immediately and provide options. The same goes for refunds! If we find you've been overcharged for freight, we'll get that money back to you faster than you can say Hey Skippy!
Your patience and understanding with this process is appreciated. And at any time, if you can no longer wait, we will provide a refund to you.
UNATTENDED DELIVERY ADDRESSES Deliveries are generally made Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. As such we recommend you use a business address or an address where you, or someone you designate, will be available to sign for your delivery.
Depending on the item we may contact you to arrange delivery. In order to ensure your purchase lands in the correct hands we will require a signature from you on delivery. If you are not home on delivery the postman/courier will leave a card with collection details. Should nobody be available to accept delivery, the item will be kept with the courier and a redelivery fee may be incurred at your expense.
Please note that unfortunately we're unable to ship to PO Boxes (and/or Parcel Lockers). Please rather use the a work address, or that of a friend, colleague or family member.
