If you're running the 3.3-litre V6 twin-turbo diesel in your 300 Series and you're planning tuning, a bigger exhaust, or other performance work, the factory air intake is usually the first thing holding those upgrades back. Safari 4x4 built the Armax snorkel specifically to solve that problem: it raises the intake above the engine bay to keep dust and water out, and it's engineered to move enough air to let performance modifications actually deliver what they promise.

At the centre of the design is Safari's Next Generation 4 inch air ram, tuned for high airflow with minimal restriction. It also works as a water separator, pulling rain out of the incoming air stream so the engine keeps breathing clean, dry air even in torrential weather. Every part is Australian designed, moulded and manufactured, and flow tested in-house before it reaches the shelf.

One fitment note worth checking before you order: the SS98HP suits every 300 Series variant except GX models with the factory raised air intake. If you're on a GX, you'll need the SS98HPOER supplementary kit alongside this snorkel to get the same coverage.
