Every 4WD copes with different terrain, and most of us are running wheels and tyres that are well beyond stock. Fender flares help you keep things compliant by covering exposed tread, stopping debris from flicking onto your paint or the vehicle behind you.

Yes. Fender flares help shield your guards and doors from stones, mud and road debris that would otherwise chip your paint or sandblast the lower panels – especially on gravel roads and muddy tracks.

Are fender flares legal in Australia?

Fender flares are generally legal and often necessary, as most states require the tyre tread to be covered when viewed from above. If you’re running wider wheels or aggressive offsets, flares are one of the easiest ways to stay within the rules.

Can I install fender flares myself, or do I need a professional?

Most fender flares in this range can be installed at home with basic tools and a bit of patience. Some kits use factory mounting points, while others may require minor drilling. If you’re not confident drilling into guards or lining everything up, a panel shop or 4x4 accessories fitter can do it for you.

Will these fender flares work with my bull bar, sidesteps or snorkel?

Are replacement pieces or hardware available if I damage a flare?
