TAG's Extreme Recovery Towbar for the Prado, August 2009 to June 2024, spare-wheel-on-tailgate models, was the original recovery towbar design for this Prado generation, and at under 34kg it doesn't load up the back of the vehicle the way heavier bars can.

Two WLL 4000kg load-rated recovery points sit in the side-arms, so you've got a proper anchor for a snatch strap or winch line rather than relying on the tow ball. It's rated to 3000kg towing and 300kg ball weight as a Class 4 towbar, with the included hitch matching that rating exactly, no upgrade parts needed.

This towbar only suits Prado models with the spare wheel mounted on the tailgate; if your Prado carries its spare underneath, you'll need part T7T728 instead. Built in Australia and backed by TAG's limited lifetime warranty, fitting takes around 90 minutes with no bumper cutting required.
