Towbar 4x4 Recovery for Toyota Hilux (07/2015 - on) by TAG
Trayback Models only.
N90 Hilux Cab Chassis Models from 2026 onwards, require relocation or rear sensor bar.
Covering Trayback Hilux models from July 2015 onwards, including the current N90 range, this TAG Extreme Recovery Towbar swaps a standard tow point for two WLL 4500kg load-rated recovery points built into the side-arms.
The 89mm x 89mm extreme duty crossbar mounts flush to the chassis, so your departure angle stays intact instead of dropping away under a hanging towbar. As a Class 4 towbar it's also rated to 3500kg towing and 350kg ball weight with the hitch supplied. No bumper removal or cutting is needed to fit it, and the job takes around 120 minutes.
One fitment note for the newest models: N90 Hilux cab chassis variants built from 2026 onwards need the rear sensor bar relocated, or fitted, to work with this towbar. Built in Australia and backed by TAG's limited lifetime warranty, it's supplied complete with a zinc tow ball, extreme duty drop hitch, pin and clip, and D-shackles.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this fit the new N90 Hilux?
Yes, Trayback N90 Hilux models are covered. On cab chassis variants built from 2026 onwards, the rear sensor bar needs relocating, or fitting, to work with this towbar.
What towing capacity does this towbar have?
3500kg towing capacity with a 350kg ball weight, as a Class 4 towbar.
What is the WLL rating of the recovery points?
The two integrated recovery points are load-rated to 4500kg WLL.
Is a towbar the same as a recovery point?
No. A standard tow ball or hitch receiver isn't engineered for the dynamic loads of a winch or snatch strap recovery. This towbar has two purpose-built WLL 4500kg recovery points for that job.
Does fitting this towbar require cutting the bumper?
No. No bumper removal and no cutting is required.
How long does fitting take?
Around 120 minutes for a professional fitter.
Can I fit this myself?
Because towbars are safety-critical and fitment varies by vehicle, we recommend professional installation by a qualified fitter.
What's included in the box?
The towbar, a zinc tow ball, extreme duty drop hitch rated at 3500kg/350kg, pin and clip, and D-shackles.
