Extreme Recovery Towbar And Direct Fit Wiring Kit For Toyota Landcruiser 78 Series Troopy (08/1991 - on) by TAG

The 78 Series Troop Carrier has been in service since 1991, and this TAG Extreme Recovery (XR) kit is built to suit the full production run since then. It pairs a Class 4, 50mm square hitch receiver with a direct fit wiring harness, rated to 3500kg towing and 350kg ball weight.

Two WLL 4000kg load-rated recovery points are built into the reinforced crossbar, shaped with bevelled edges for a soft shackle, so the same mounting point covers trailer towing and off-road recovery. Fitting this kit involves removing the rear bumper, which leaves the towbar sitting partially concealed rather than fully exposed once installed.

At 34kg, this is one of the lighter kits in the TAG Extreme Recovery range, and fitting takes around 90 minutes in a workshop.
