For the MY24 facelift 70 Series running the 2.8 litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel (1GD-FTV), Safari's Armax snorkel is a completely new design, tested on a custom-built flow bench to deliver 25 to 70 percent more airflow than the stock air cleaner housing, while keeping the intake watertight.

It's built with a rounded air ram carrying a minimum 4 inch (101.6mm) neck and a low-restriction grill, moulded from Safari's industrial-spec UV stabilised polyethylene. The air ram strips the maximum volume of water from the incoming air stream while still delivering maximum airflow, and rotating it away from the prevailing wind adds extra protection in rough weather.

Like the rest of the Armax range, this snorkel was developed and verified alongside other Armax performance products still on the way, so it's designed to keep pace with future upgrades to the platform.
