The Front Runner Slimsport Roof Rack Kit for Subaru Outback GEN 6 (2020–current) gives you a proper, usable platform up top without turning your wagon into a bulky wind-catcher. It’s low-profile, lightweight, and built to follow the roofline so it still looks right on the vehicle.

Low Profile. Full-Length Platform
The Slimsport uses a flat-deck design with a generous load-carrying area of 1999mm x 1151mm. That’s real space for touring boxes, swags, recovery boards or sports gear.
The side rails feature integrated mounting feet, reinforced with additional brace brackets for added strength. The aluminium slats are high-strength and run top and bottom T-slots, so mounting Front Runner accessories is straightforward and secure. No drilling into the rack. No messy workarounds.
If you want easier access to your gear, you can add the Handle/Light Slimsport Rack Bracket. And if you’re expanding your setup, the Slimsport Side Mount Accessory Bracket / Small (sold separately) lets you run compatible side-mount accessories.
Quiet on the Road
The included full fairing with rubber edge trim helps smooth airflow across the front of the rack, keeping wind noise down during highway driving. It’s designed to be practical day-to-day, not just when you’re off-road.
Light Bar Option Available
If you’re planning to add auxiliary lighting later, there’s an optional RRAC2328 wind fairing (sold separately) with a 40-inch cut-out to suit the 40" LED Slim Light Bar VX1000-CB SM (12V/24V, single mount). It keeps the install clean and integrated rather than looking like an afterthought.
Sunroof Compatibility
For Outbacks fitted with a sunroof, it remains fully operational in slide open and closed modes once the rack is installed.
Important: The sunroof is not operational in vent / tilt mode.
