The Extang Solid Fold ALX for the Silverado 1500 is a hard tri-fold tonneau cover for the 5'10 bed that opens with one hand. Drop the tailgate, twist the rotary release and lift. There are no tailgate clamps to undo, and the cover latches itself again when you close it against the bed rails.

It shares the build of Extang's Solid Fold 2.0 and adds the Secure Rotary Release Latching System. The panels are 1-inch thick EnduraShield TPO, made to resist dents, scratches and UV fading, on a lightweight aluminium frame with dual-pivot MaxHinges. Closed, it supports up to 272kg (600lb) of evenly distributed weight, and hard polymer rubber corners, hinge caps and snap-on triple-fin perimeter seals guard the tub against the weather.

Fitting is a Level 1 install that takes less than an hour with conventional hand tools. Extang's tool-free Jaw-Grip front clamps and bolt-on rotary latch strikers mean no cutting, drilling or modifying, and the cover lifts off without tools when you need the whole bed.
