RS9 High Speed Winch Kit by Carbon Offroad

The Carbon Offroad RS9 High Speed Winch Kit is built for one job: getting you unstuck fast. An 8.0HP series-wound motor paired with a performance-tuned 80:1 gear ratio gives this winch the quickest line speed in the Scout Pro RS Series, so you're not standing around waiting for cable to pay out on a distant anchor point.

This is the race-spec end of Carbon Offroad's line-up. The RS9 sits on the weight-optimised V3 chassis, trimming front-axle weight so your steering and suspension aren't fighting a heavy lump of iron over the front wheels. You still get a rated line pull of up to 4080kg (9000lb), a full 42 metres of 8mm Spectra™ Fibre synthetic rope for reaching anchor points that would otherwise need an extension, and a MegaPro Hook fitted as standard rather than sold separately.

It's aimed at drivers who care about cycle times as much as raw pulling power: winch challenge and competition entrants, and anyone running a fast-paced touring or 4WD adventure setup who wants their recovery gear to keep up. The RS9 bolts onto a standard 254mm x 114.3mm mounting pattern, so it drops into most compatible bull bars and winch cradles without custom fabrication, and it's ready to run the Carbon Offroad Air Freespool Clutch Upgrade if you want to ditch the manual clutch lever down the track.

What battery setup do I need to run a 9000lb-class winch like the RS9?
