A tradie's Silverado 2500 tray is only as useful as what you can safely carry in it, and the BAKFlip MX4 TS hard folding tonneau cover is built to lock that gear down without getting in the way of using the tub. The aluminium panels sit low and flush with a matte black finish, so it doesn't add bulk or ruin the factory look of the truck.

The standout feature is the integrated T-slot rail system built into the top of the cover, which lets you mount compatible racks and accessories (sold separately) for ladders, bikes or camping gear, so the cover doubles as a mounting platform rather than just a lid.

Need the whole tray back? The tri-fold panels fold flat against the cab in seconds for full bed access, and re-engineered automatic latching panels with a dual-action tailgate seal keep your cargo locked down and dry the rest of the time.

Is the BAKFlip MX4 TS compatible with a sports bar fitted to my Silverado 2500?

No. BAK states the MX4 TS isn't compatible with sports bars or roll bars fitted to the tub. If you're running one, check with us before ordering.

Can I still mount a rack or ladder carrier with this cover fitted?

Yes. The integrated T-slot rail system lets you mount compatible racks and accessories directly to the cover (sold separately). Confirm compatibility with your specific rack brand before ordering, since not every rack system is built for T-slot mounting.

How much weight can the closed cover carry, and can I stand on it?

It's rated to 181 kg (400 lb) when the load is spread evenly across the panels. That's a cargo rating, not a step rating: don't concentrate your full weight on one spot or use it as a ladder or platform.

Will this cover keep water out in heavy rain?

It's built with re-engineered perimeter seals, tight-fit clamps and an integrated water drainage system to keep water out under normal use. Worth checking the seals periodically, particularly if the truck sees regular work-site dust or grit.

Is a hard folding cover worth the extra cost over a soft one?

It depends on what you need from it. Hard folding covers like the MX4 TS give you a lockable, load-rated surface and stronger long-term weatherproofing; soft folding covers are lighter and generally cheaper but don't match the same rigidity or security.

What's the expected service life of this cover?

BAK backs the MX4 TS with a 5-year manufacturer warranty, and the aluminium panel construction with UV-resistant coating is built for sustained outdoor use. Actual lifespan depends on your climate and upkeep.

Does the cover interfere with the truck's third brake light?

No. BAK has engineered the MX4 TS to maintain full third brake light visibility in every panel position.

Do I need to drill into my Silverado's tub to fit this?

No. It's a no-drill, clamp-on installation that one person can complete in under 30 minutes with the hardware supplied.
