The Trifecta E-Series ships with the fully assembled tonneau cover and an installation guide. All mounting hardware, including the Jaw-Grip front clamps and spring-loaded rear clamps, is included. No additional tools or components are required.

The cover arrives fully assembled and fits the Tundra's 5'7" bed without drilling or tools. Extang's proprietary Jaw-Grip front clamps secure to the bed rails at the cab, while spring-loaded rear clamps attach at the tailgate end. Most owners have it fitted in under 30 minutes. The Trifecta E-Series uses a marine-grade, leather-grain vinyl tarp stretched over a lightweight aircraft-grade aluminium frame with heavy-duty support bows. Extang finishes the frame with their EnduraCoat textured-black coating for added resistance to corrosion and wear. Marine-grade vinyl is designed to handle prolonged sun, rain, and rough weather.

The Trifecta E-Series is a soft folding cover and does not include a dedicated lock. As a vinyl cover, it is designed to keep weather out and deter casual access rather than provide high-security storage. If securing valuables in the bed is a priority, a hard folding cover with an integrated latch system would be more appropriate.

In most cases, yes. The Trifecta E-Series clamps to the top of the bed rails and does not require adhesive or mounting points inside the tub. A spray-in liner generally does not interfere with the installation, though if the liner has been applied to the very top of the bed rail it can affect how the seal sits. Check the liner profile at the rail before ordering.

We recommend avoiding automatic car washes with brush contact when using any soft folding tonneau cover. The brushes and water pressure can work their way under the seals and stress the vinyl or frame over time. A hand wash or touchless car wash is preferable and will keep the cover in better condition long term.

Both covers use the same marine-grade leather-grain vinyl tarp material, but the Trifecta 2.0 features a redesigned frame with MAX double-pivot hinges and Extang's snap-on seal system, which eliminates adhesive failure risk. The E-Series is Extang's entry-level option with a simpler frame, making it a solid choice for buyers who want reliable weather protection and easy installation at a lower price point.
