This kit pairs the TAG 4x4 Recovery Towbar with TAG's direct-fit wiring harness, built specifically for cab chassis Ford Ranger PX2 and PX3 models from August 2015 to May 2022. Instead of running a universal loom, the CANBUS harness plugs straight into the vehicle's factory wiring with a 7 pin flat plug, so trailer lights and the Anderson plug mounts just work off the factory connectors. The towbar itself carries the same recovery-first build as the rest of the range: two WLL 4500kg load-rated recovery points in the side-arms, bevelled for soft shackles, for when a tow ball won't cut it.
The crossbar is an 89mm x 89mm extreme duty section, chassis-mounted flush for the best departure angle, with a Class 4 towbar rating on a 50mm square hitch receiver. Standard hitch and tow ball bring it to 3500kg towing and 350kg ball weight. Some factory features on the harness, like reverse sensor cut-off, need diagnostic coding rather than working automatically out of the box, worth knowing before you book the fit.

Will this towbar's wiring harness affect my reverse sensors?
Reverse sensor cut-off on this harness needs diagnostic coding, it isn't automatic. Fog light cut-off, by contrast, is automatic.
Is this towbar a recovery point?
Not the same as the tow ball or hitch tongue alone. This kit builds two WLL 4500kg-rated recovery points into the side-arms for that job, separate from the towing hitch.
