The Boab 80L Under Tray Poly Water Tank is a excellent solution if you're in need of a ute or truck tray (or under-tray) mounted water tank as it comes in a sleek, flat design.

Featuring a convenient 1.5" BSP filler thread, this tank also includes an adjacent 1/2" BSP insert, perfect for attaching a fast-fill breather line when needed. To offer versatility, two 1/2" BSP outlets are thoughtfully placed at the bottom, allowing you to choose the most suitable exit point for your tap or plumbing system.

What vehicles does the 80L under tray tank suit?

The WTP80F is designed for ute and truck tray under-tray mounting. At 1070mm L x 805mm W x 170mm H it suits most full-size ute trays, though you'll need to measure your tray's cross-member spacing and available clearance above your chassis rails before ordering. The flat 170mm profile keeps it low and out of the way.

How does the filler system work on this tank?

The tank uses a 1.5" BSP filler thread as the main fill point. Adjacent to this is a 1/2" BSP insert intended for a fast-fill breather line. The breather lets air escape during filling so the tank fills quickly and completely without airlock, worth plumbing correctly if you're doing large volume refills regularly.

How many outlets does the tank have and where are they?

There are two 1/2" BSP outlets, both positioned at the bottom of the tank. Dual outlets give you flexibility to route plumbing on either side of the tray, useful when one side is blocked by a chassis rail or toolbox mounting.

Is this tank safe for drinking water storage?

Yes. The WTP80F is BPA-free poly construction, making it fully suitable for potable water. It's built for long-term use in the demanding conditions you'd encounter on extended remote travel.

How heavy will the tank be when full?

At 80 litres of water plus the weight of the tank itself, the loaded weight will exceed 80kg. Under-tray mounting carries that weight low on the vehicle, which has minimal effect on handling. Check that your tray mounts and chassis attachment points are rated appropriately before installation.

How is the tank physically secured under the tray?

The tank needs to be secured with brackets and straps to your tray's cross-members or chassis rails. Mounting hardware is not included, as the correct setup varies with each vehicle and tray configuration. If you're not confident fabricating the mounts yourself, a 4WD accessories shop or tray fabricator will make short work of a proper installation.

What is the warranty on this tank?

BOAB tanks carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects.

Can I connect a 12V transfer pump to this tank?

Yes. The two 1/2" BSP outlets are standard fittings compatible with most 12V transfer pumps. A common setup is to plumb one outlet to a pump feeding a tap point accessible from the outside of the tray, keeping the tank itself completely hidden under the tray.

Order Dispatch

Orders are usually dispatched within 1-3 business days. Should there be any delays we will let you know immediately.

In order to get your purchase to you as promptly and safely as possible we utilise a number of trusted and reputable courier services, including Australia Post (depending on the item and your location). These delivery services should have your item delivered to your door within 2 - 10 working days depending on your location. In some cases where the address is based in the more regional parts of Australia this may take longer. Should the delivery time take longer than we would like we will let you know.

As soon as the item has been shipped we will provide you with a tracking number via email. You can then use this number to watch your item make it's way toward your location. It should also give you a clear idea of when to expect your item.

Depending on the item we may contact you to arrange delivery. In order to ensure your purchase lands in the correct hands we will require a signature from you on delivery. If you are not home on delivery the postman/courier will leave a card with collection details.
