The XR Series combines the ONE MX with the integrated Trax Rail System that allows for unique and personal customisation above your truck bed cover. The RetraxONE XR combines strong, durable polycarbonate with a powerful and incredible scratch resistant matte finish paired with a low-profile patented design that streamlines the overall appearance and provides a firm seal.

The XR Series optimizes cargo capacity with the cover open or closed, providing the ultimate versatility in cargo management. The Trax Rail System will work with most T-slot accessories from Yakima and many more offering endless possibilities. (Accessories Sold Separately)

Pairing the Trax Rail System with accessories offers double the cargo capacity. This unique technology frees up the hitch with the ability to mount bikes, coolers, outdoor gear and more on top of the bed cover by combining the Trax Rail system with the t-slot accessories.

What does the XR add over the standard RetraxONE MX?

The RetraxONE XR combines the RetraxONE MX polycarbonate cover with an integrated Trax Rail System -- a set of T-slot tracks built into the exterior surface of the cover. This lets you mount crossbars and accessories from Rhino-Rack, Yakima, Thule, and compatible brands on top of the tonneau, giving you usable cargo space both inside the bed and above it. If you want to carry a rooftop tent, cargo box, or bike rack on a retractable cover, the XR is the version that supports it.

What T-slot accessories are compatible, and where do I get them?

The Trax Rail System accepts most T-slot accessories from Rhino-Rack, Yakima, Thule, and many other compatible brands. Accessories are sold separately. How does it open with accessories mounted on top?

The Trax Rail System is designed to maintain the functionality of the cover even with T-slot crossbars installed. You can still push the cover open and retract it along the rails with accessories in place, provided they are within the operating clearances and installed correctly. Accessories that span the full surface area of the cover will typically need the cover to be closed to be usable.

Is the polycarbonate strong enough to carry a loaded cargo box above the cover?

The RetraxONE XR is designed to carry accessories mounted through the Trax Rail System and crossbars, not loads resting directly on the polycarbonate surface. Any loads you are carrying above the cover should go through rated crossbars and rack accessories, not directly on the cover itself. Check the load ratings on your chosen crossbar system before mounting anything heavy.

How does the locking mechanism work, and how secure is it?

The RetraxONE XR locks via the key mechanism integrated into the handle. When locked closed, the polycarbonate cover provides meaningful resistance compared to soft or folding covers. It is a solid deterrent against opportunistic access, though it is not designed as a secure lockbox for high-value gear.

Can I install this at home without a workshop?

The RetraxONE XR uses a clamp-on system that does not require drilling the bed rails. The adjustable mounts are designed to accommodate minor variation between trucks of the same model. Most owners can complete installation at home with basic hand tools and a helper, without needing specialist tools or a workshop.
