9" EX2 Driving Light Kit by Narva | 12V/24V | Pair – Serious Illumination for Off-Road Nights

Whether you're carving through outback tracks or crawling your way into camp after dark, the Narva 9" EX2 Driving Light Kit lights the way with power and precision. Built for 12V and 24V setups, this kit delivers massive performance and reliability to match — with no complicated wiring required.

Each light features a hybrid beam that punches 700 metres down the track and spreads 60 metres wide at 1 Lux, giving you clear, even light coverage without dark spots or glare. The plug-and-play system connects directly to your high beam circuit, eliminating the need for under-dash installations — just clip it in and go.*

These lights are made to last, with a ultra tough polycarbonate lens with high impact resistance, UV-resistant coatings, die-cast aluminium housings, and nylon mounting brackets that won’t rust out. Rated to IP68 and IP69K, they’re fully sealed and pressure-wash ready.

Features

  • Blistering Output – 27,200 raw lumens, 19,400 effective lumens per pair
  • Wide & Long Beam – 700m distance and 60m spread at 1 Lux
  • Plug-and-Play Simplicity – No loom or under-dash wiring on most vehicles*
  • Rugged Housing – Die-cast aluminium build, UV-coated polycarbonate lens
  • 12V & 24V Compatible – Ideal for touring rigs, utes, and even heavy vehicles
  • Corrosion-Proof Brackets – Nylon mounts won’t rust or fatigue
  • Sealed Tight – IP68 & IP69K ingress protection – ready for mud, dust and wash-downs
  • Customisable Look – Includes Electric Blue & Slate colour trims + DIY lens protector graphic options

*Note: NSW & QLD may require an in-cabin switch. Always check your local road regulations.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do the 9" compare to the 7" and is the step up worth the extra money?

The 9" pair throws light 700m at 1 lux versus 460m for the 7", and spreads 60m wide versus 45m. Raw output is 27,200 lumens for the 9" against 16,620 for the 7". If you regularly drive outback highways at 100km/h or faster, or spend time on fast open tracks, the 9" gives a genuine, meaningful step up in reaction time and peripheral coverage. For slower tracks, tighter scrub work, or rigs with limited bull bar clearance, the 7" is still an excellent option. The 9" is heavier at 2,620g per pair, so mounting bracket strength matters.

What mounting system does it use and will it suit my bull bar?

The 9" uses a 3-bolt mounting configuration with nylon + 30% glass-filled brackets that are corrosion-proof and UV-resistant. Aim is adjustable via Allen key. Most aftermarket bull bars with 9" round light positions will suit. Confirm your bar's bolt pattern and clearance for the 102mm housing depth and 2,620g weight per pair before ordering, bracket compatibility varies between bar manufacturers.

Does the kit include a wiring harness?

Yes. A wiring harness lead is included. The EX2's internal switching system means on most positively-switched vehicles you connect directly to the high beam circuit, no relay or under-dash wiring through the firewall required. For negatively-switched vehicles, an external relay is needed.

Does it work correctly on a vehicle with a smart alternator?

Yes. The EX2 connects to the high beam trigger circuit, not to the alternator directly, so smart alternator compatibility is not an issue. The 9-33V DC input range also handles the voltage fluctuations common in modern vehicle electrical systems without causing problems.

Do I need an in-cabin switch if I am in NSW or QLD?

Yes. Both NSW and QLD require an in-cabin switch for aftermarket driving lights. Narva notes this in the product documentation. Factor in the cost and installation of a switch when planning your setup if you are in either of these states.

What does 700m at 1 lux actually mean when I am driving at night?

At 1 lux, your eyes can detect an object with sufficient contrast, so 700m is where the beam becomes just detectable. In real-world outback night driving, you are getting strong, usable light well beyond 300-400m. You will see roos, cattle, and road obstacles with significantly more reaction time than stock headlights provide, particularly at outback highway speeds.

Are the lens protectors included and do they reduce output?

Two black ABS lens protectors are included, one per light. They do reduce output slightly compared to running uncovered, but protect the polycarbonate lenses from stone chips and scrub damage. Many 4WDers run them on bush tracks and remove them for highway driving where maximum output is needed.

What is in the kit and what will I need to source separately?

The kit includes 2 x 9" driving lights, 2 x black lens protectors, 1 x Electric Blue colour trim (fitted), 1 x Slate Grey colour trim, a wiring harness lead, stainless steel hardware, and product instructions. Bull bar-specific mounting brackets or light cups from your bull bar manufacturer are not included and need to be sourced separately. A relay may also be needed on negatively-switched vehicles.

Excellent & Honest Service

We try and provide the best pre and after sales service possible. If you have a question we’re here to help, and if we don’t know the answer we’ll tell you and then do our absolute best to find the answer for you. We’re also here to guide you to the best possible outcome for you. A lot of stores will simply try to up-sell you on the most expensive option. That’s not how we operate. We want to build a relationship with our customers, and the only way to do that is by being honest and direct.

4x4 Down Under is built on honesty and integrity. For example when you make a purchase with us we only charge your account once we confirm the product is ready for dispatch. Although we like to guarantee everything on our store is available we’re not perfect and mistakes do happen. If something turns out to not be available we’ll let you know immediately and you have the option to cancel your order or wait for more stock to arrive. Should you not want to wait the order is voided, and there’s no waiting a week to get your money back (it’s instant!).

Aussie and Proud!

We're Australians, and we like to support our fellow Australians, which is why all our products are sourced locally from the official Australian distributors. Nothing is imported directly and we don't stock any grey imports. This also means that all manufacturer warranties are fully honored by the brands themselves.

No Sales Gimmicks

When you shop at 4x4 Down Under you don’t have to worry about:
  • Annoying and dishonest ’Sales Timers’ that simply reset every few hours and are there to coerce you into buying.
  • Dishonest “low stock” labels, another coercive sales gimmick.
  • False “John just bought a…” alerts. Our customer alerts (bottom left) are 100% true and we're proud of them.
  • Being bombarded by trust badges and labels everywhere you look that mean nothing.
  • We don't spam! Your information is safe with us. It will never be shared or sold, or used to fill your inbox with garbage.
