The Carbon Mega Pro Hook is rated safe for use with any winch up to 20,000lb rated line pull. That covers everything from ATV winches right through to heavy duty truck winches, so it won't be the weak link in your recovery setup regardless of what you're running.

The hook body is forged from 40cr alloy steel and heat treated, which gives it excellent strength-to-weight characteristics. After forging it goes through a durable powder-coating process, the same type used on exterior aluminium window frames, which provides long-term UV resistance and protects the base material from corrosion. The alloy gate is cast separately for a lightweight but durable result.

The Mega Pro Hook is available in Black, Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, Orange, Purple, Pink and Silver. The colour is purely the powder-coat finish applied over the same forged steel construction, it has no effect on structural strength. All variants are identical in build and rating, so pick the colour that suits your setup.

The hook uses a complete through-pin design externally secured with a circlip. This makes it simple and secure to fit, slide the pin through the rope thimble, clip it in place, and it's ready. No special tools required and no risk of the pin walking out under load.

Yes. The hook can be stowed flat against the fairlead or on its end with the gate facing up, which makes it easy to clip on a soft shackle or tree protector loop with one hand. This is a deliberate design feature, you can walk the rope out to the anchor with a soft shackle already attached and ready to go.

The Carbon Mega Pro Winch Rope Thimble (rated to 16 tonnes) is compatible with this hook and is included with several Carbon winch models.
